Here's Hutama Karya's Strategy To Healthy Finance

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) revealed a number of strategies used to restore the company's finances in the BUMN Karya sector. Given, throughout the first semester of 2023, five state-owned companies were recorded as having total liabilities or large debts.

The five companies are PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI), and PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

"Hutama Karya managed to get up (survive) by implementing a number of strategies, namely the acquisition of State Capital Participation (PMN), financial restructuring, and investment cooperation," said Tjahjo in a press release received by VOI, Thursday, November 2.

Tjahjo said that there are other strategies carried out by Hutama Karya so that they can continue to carry out projects that have been assigned by the government to them.

"We are also carrying out business portfolio realizations to increase efficiency, as well as carry out other restructurings that include improving corporate governance, optimizing risk management, and developing technology in a sustainable manner," he said.

According to Tjahjo, from a number of efforts made, PMN's strategy and investment cooperation are two mainstay strategies to nourish the company's finances. "These two strategies are effective in maintaining the company's liquidity and solvency," he said.

He hopes that with the various efforts that have been made, Hutama Karya can continue to improve his work, both in terms of growth in new contracts and restoring financial performance.

"Hutama Karya is committed to maintaining the level of profitability, solvency, and liquidity at an optimal level," he said.

Meanwhile, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) recorded a net profit of IDR 34 billion in the third quarter of 2023, inversely proportional to the same period in 2022 which posted a loss of IDR 992 billion.

Meanwhile, until the end of 2023, Hutama Karya is still optimistic that he can record a net profit and pursue the acquisition of a number of new contracts.
