Minister Teten Calls IDM 2023 Offering Various Eases For Entrepreneurs

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki said the 2023 Indonesia Digital MeetUp (IDM) event, which specifically carries the theme of the Easy Entrepreneurs Festival, offers various conveniences to become entrepreneurs.

"So if we come here, to start a business, it seems that it is enough to have a business idea. The entire ecosystem in this event can help us start a business," said Coordinating Minister for SMEs Teten at the IDM 2023 Easy Entrepreneurship Festival at the Smesco Building, Jakarta, on Thursday, October 5.

Teten said that currently there are many digital applications that can help people start their business, ranging from providing macron companies, shipping services, to expanding market access with a wide range.

"There are already many enablers who can help produce, finance, and other facilities, that's why we create easy entrepreneurial programs," he said.

He added that MSMEs need to evolve so that they do not just grow and develop.

According to Teten, the evolution of MSMEs is intended so that MSMEs not only develop in terms of business but products that are created must be competitive. Including, producing new entrepreneurs (entrepreneurs) from among young people, who are aware of technology, innovative, relevant, and non-competitive model businesses for existing traders.

"Don't just modernize the old model to new models," he said.

On the same occasion, the President Director of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Marketing Service Institute (LLP-KUMKM) or Smesco Indonesia Leonard Theosabrata said, IDM23 which was held at the Smesco Indonesia Building, on October 5-6, 2023, was the only event in Indonesia that offers various digital solutions for SMEs that want to scaling-up their business.

"The Exhibition Day series at IDM 23 will be a place to showcasing the entrepreneurial facilities ecosystem to support the target of achieving a ratio of 4 percent of the number of entrepreneurs in 2024, as well as towards Indonesia Gold in 2045," he said.

There are 80 companies / tenants that offer various types of convenience that will be obtained by visitors. Consisting of Ease of Licensing (Zona 1) which contains the SMEsco SMESko SMES Service Center (easy business entities, BPOM, Halal, Haki Brand, and others).

Then, Zone 2 which offers Ease of Production, contains macroon companies such as cosmetics, skin care, beauty drinks, health drinks, herbs, food and beverages, clothing, shoes, and others. Including, inclusive packaging companies, labels, and packaging designs.

Next, Logistics Facilitation in Zone 3 which contains logistical aggregators, expedition companies, transportation, warehousing.
