ASDP Plant 10,000 Trees In IKN Nusantara

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) is committed to supporting efforts to sustain environmental reforestation in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago. This support was realized through collaboration in the Green Movement: Nusantara Green Belt activities in Jakarta, on Tuesday 26 September.

ASDP President Director Ira Puspadewi conveyed that the support was part of ASDP's commitment to create a sustainable ecosystem.

"On this occasion, ASDP participated in planting 10,000 trees in IKN Nusantara, which was initiated by Katadata, Good Seeds, and Traces as a tangible manifestation of the contribution in aligning IKN's goals as smart forest city," said Ira, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 29.

According to him, the cooperation carried out in the framework of the 4th Annual Forum & Exhibition (SAFE) annual forum should be appreciated and as an initial step not only from ASDP, but also all stakeholders involved to continue to transform into companies that adopt and integrate environmentally friendly culture.

The activity, which has been held since 2020 by Katadata, provides a forum for governments, organizations and civil society to be able to discuss solutions and concrete actions in sustainable economic development.

Not only caring for the environment, ASDP ensures the presence of prime crossing transportation services in supporting community accessibility towards IKN.

In addition, ASDP also plays a strategic role in logistics transportation services towards IKN. Currently, the mobilization and transportation of materials used in the construction of IKN is supported by ASDP ferry services.

As a transportation company, ASDP also has a close relationship with carbon emissions so that ASDP is committed to implementing environmentally friendly business principles in various fields ranging from ports, ferry boats to the surrounding environment.

"ASDP has made various efforts to realize the green principle in its business starting from the development of solar power plants (PLTS) at the Sosoro Executive Terminal of Merak Port, Banten and the Archipelago Attorney General Terminal of Bakauheni Port, Lampung," said Ira.

Previously, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jejalin Arfan Arlanda emphasized that to create a green IKN is a shared responsibility so that the collaboration shows a spirit in encouraging environmentally friendly IKN.
