Through This Exhibition, The Ministry Of PUPR Wants To Encourage The Transformation Of Construction Sector Technology

JAKARTA - Expert Staff to the Minister of PUPR for Economics and Investment Dadang Rukmana representing the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono opened the 2023 Indonesia Energy and Engineering (IEE) Series International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 13.

"I hope that all participants and visitors can make the best use of this exhibition as a place for collaboration and transfer knowledge regarding the latest developments and innovations related to the construction and energy sector," said Expert Staff Dadang in a written statement, on Thursday, September 14.

Dadang said this activity was a forum for exchanging information between supply and demand, as a medium of collaboration between stakeholders in the construction sector, both domestically and abroad to adapt to various challenges, develop digital transformation and technology, and encourage investment opportunities in the construction services sector.

"In this regard, energy and engineering are one of the prerequisites for building reliable infrastructure and which involves the participation of National Construction Services," he said.

According to Dadang, the government's decision in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in placing infrastructure development as a national priority program is considered a logical and strategic choice.

The availability of reliable infrastructure is the main key in improving people's welfare, competitiveness, and Indonesia's economic growth in the context of equitable development, which is not only focused on Java, but also on other islands.

"We must be able to ensure the readiness of all supply chain components of the construction and energy industry, including the latest equipment and technology materials. Therefore, I really appreciate exhibition activities like this," he said.

Through this activity, continued Dadang, it is hoped that it will increase public insight into the development of quality product innovation and have competitiveness with the latest technology in the field of construction and energy.

"Hopefully in the future this kind of event can be carried out periodically and can be well socialized to the entire community," he concluded.

The International Exhibition of Indonesia Energy and Engineering Series 2023 consists of oil and gas, mining, power and electric, and construction and concrete industries which are followed by 2,104 exhibitions.

The Indonesia Energy & Engineering 2023 (IEE Series 2023) exhibition series itself was held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on September 13-16, 2023.
