Diligently Reshuffle SOE Directors, This Is Erick Thohir's Reason

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has recently reshuffled the board of directors of state-owned companies. Erick said that changing directors in state-owned companies is a common thing.

For your information, recently Erick reshuffled the board of directors of PT Pupuk Indonesia Rahmad Pribadi, latest Erick appointed M. Akbar Djohan as Commercial Director of PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS).

"It's an ordinary tour of duty, when I appointed a new president director at Pupuk Indonesia from PKT Pak Rahmad, it's a normal thing, there's no problem," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 1.

"Pak Bakir (Former President Director of Pupuk Indonesia) will later be placed elsewhere," he continued.

Regarding the appointment of Deputy Minister of SOEs Rosan Roeslani as President Commissioner of Pertamina, Erick said the usual thing.

"Well, it's really normal, where was Mr. Pahala wakomut at that time?," he said.

"To Mr. Rosan, he is responsible financially and otherwise, but there is nothing wrong with me being double-decker," he said.

Even so, Erick said there was improvement. With the current conditions, deputy ministers can see each other and support each other from each state-owned company cluster.

"But there is something that I am fixing now when the Deputy Minister of BUMN crossed. In the past, Mr. Tiko as Deputy Minister of BUMN supervised banking, now because Mr. Tiko is wary of the first cluster, which is called energy, Mr. Tiko is still wary of banking, now this is just crossing," he explained.
