JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Highways has started the implementation of accelerating the construction of the Regional Road Inpres (IJD) work which is a priority for the government.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the Regional Road Instruction (IJD) aims to handle damaged non-national roads and improve the absorption of regional roads throughout Indonesia through the assistance of the State Budget.
"In July 2023 we have started in several provinces simultaneously, such as Lampung, Jambi, North Sumatra, Bengkulu, and South Sulawesi," Basuki said in his official statement, quoted on Saturday, July 29.
One of them includes South Sulawesi Province with a total of 19 physical packages and 4 work surveillance packages spread across 9 regencies/cities, namely in Takalar (1 package), Bulukumba (2 packages), Bone (3 packages), Soppeng (3 packages), Wajo (2 packages), Barru (2 packages), Pangkep (3 packages), Maros (1 package), and North Luwu (2 packages).
Head of South Sulawesi BBPJN Asep S Hidayat said the total road worked out in South Sulawesi Province was 132.92 km with a total budget ceiling of Rp490.58 billion.
"The progress of carrying out the work is currently in the mobilization and preparation stage," said Asep.

During a working visit to South Sulawesi Province, Minister Basuki also reviewed the IJD work package located on Jalan Malewang - Maronde, Takalar Regency. The work contract starts on July 24, 2023 with a value of IDR 20.51 billion sourced from the APBN.
