The Ministry Of PUPR Asks For Dispensation In The Settlement Of PSN Until 2024, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has asked for a time dispensation for the completion of all National Strategic Projects (PSN) which are mandated to be postponed to 2024.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said his party had written to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto regarding the request.

"If the order of the Coordinating Minister is all PSN must be completed no later than the first semester of 2024. We can do that, but there are several (projects) in the second semester of 2024, so we ask for dispensation from him," Basuki told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 26.

Basuki said, there are a number of PSN that can only be completed in 2024, including toll road projects and dams.

The dams in question are Bener Dam, Lau Simeme Dam in North Sumatra, Budong Dam in West Sulawesi, Bulango Ulu Dam in Gorontalo, and Mbay Dam in Flores.

"Then, PSN Toll Roads, consisting of Seran Panimbang in Banten, Patimban in Cirebon, as well as Indramayu and Semarang-Demak," he said.

According to Basuki, the completion of the PSN must withdraw to Semester II in 2024 due to a number of obstacles, one of which is the geographical type of land that is not easy to develop projects.

"Because if there is no dispensation, the Multi-Year Contract (MYC) permit from the Ministry of Finance will not come out," he said.

For your information, until July 2023, the Ministry of PUPR has completed 87 National Strategic Projects (PSN) from the 125 PSN target mandated by the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) for the Economy.

The 87 PSNs that have been completed consist of 36 dams, 2 irrigation projects, 27 toll roads, 4 non-toll roads, 3 drinking water supply systems (SPAM), 7 housing projects, 7 national cross-border gates (PLBN), and 1 education infrastructure.
