Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said inaugurating a number of structural and functional officials within the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance in the middle of this week.

There are many hopes conveyed by the Minister of Finance through the transformation of the DGT, including the hope that this inauguration activity can make the DGT's performance better and superior in accordance with its duties and functions, including regarding the distribution of General Allocation Funds (DAU) and Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH).

Given that Indonesia is a very large country, both in terms of geography, population, land area, and diversity from each region.

"There is still a lot of homework there that we have to do. Does the transfer really cause the region to be able to carry out its function as an organ of government in creating a just, prosperous society and serving the community - Is it true that the decentralized function then appears in the form of performance. According to the Minister of Finance, through the transformation carried out by the DGT, it will be able to build critical thinking and be able to foster cooperation with synergies, both in terms of the DGT itself, between units at the Ministry of Finance, to be able to collaborate with various Ministries and Institutions at the center and in the regions.

"So if we look at the challenges of development here, extreme poverty has not been overcome, stunting still exists, there are inequality, damaged roads, there are children who still can't go to school, you have to be nervous and must be able to answer through your duties, functions and all the authority, as well as the resources we have," he said.

For this reason, the Minister of Finance appealed to all levels of the DGT to become an organization that prioritizes progress in the regions, by using and creating various policy instruments.

"So please continue to have ambitions, look at data, see problems, make analysis, discuss each other, exchange information, exchange knowledge, exchange experience, look at other countries, read data from other countries, be compensated, analyzed, then issued in the form of increasingly creative policy formulas. Don't stop experimenting, and every rupiah that we transfer should not be in vain rupiah, "he said.

The Minister of Finance added that he congratulated the entire team that had just been inaugurated.
