Synergy Between PLN And Himbara Makes It Easy For People To Buy Electric Motorcycles

PT PLN (Persero) cooperates with the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) in providing credit and funding following incentives of IDR 7 million given by the government.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said PLN's collaboration with various parties to ensure that financial assistance and programs were channeled properly to the community.

So that people can get electric vehicles through a light financing scheme in an easy way.

"PLN and Himbara are moving together in the same spirit to support the electric vehicle ecosystem, this synergy is done so that people do not hesitate to own electric motors because they are easier and more affordable," Darmawan told the media, Tuesday, June 27.

In addition, Darmawan added, PLN also prepares various incentives in every purchase of electric motorcycles in the PLN Mobile application.

Among them, in the form of electricity token vouchers for prepaid customers, discounted electricity bills for postpaid customers, vouchers for free battery swaps, providing insurance guarantees for accident insurance, and even various lotterys with Umrah prizes, electric motors, and electric cars will be held.

"As a form of support for this government program, PLN will provide various incentives specifically in purchasing electric motorcycles at PLN Mobile," said Darmawan.

Chairman of the Project Manager Officer of battery-based electric vehicles (KBLBB) Dannif Danusaputro said this assistance allows people to have electric motors at a more affordable price.

"This is for friends who don't know yet, there is an incentive program to buy electric motorbikes. Later we will continue to encourage every time we get an incentive of IDR 7 million per motorbike. For example, the price is IDR 17 million because we get an incentive of IDR 10 million," said Dannif.

Dannif said, to make it easier for people to own electric vehicles, SOEs through Himbara facilitate the distribution of government assistance to purchase electric motorcycles. Likewise, the electric motorcycle financing scheme will be easier and lighter.

"Regarding our financing through programs from all Himbara banks as well as from private banks that make electric motorcycles now very, very competitive. So although the price may be more expensive but the financing incentives, with the cut it is more efficient and in the end it is cheaper," said Dannif.

Consumer Loan Group Bank Mandiri, Zu Niki Mada ensures financing support from Himbara for people who want to buy electric motorbikes.

Currently, said Niki, Himbara has collaborated with a number of electric vehicle dealers to make it easier for potential buyers of electric vehicles to determine payment schemes.

PLN Icon Plus Vice President of Electricity, Anne Aprina Badminton, said that it makes it easier for users to own electric vehicles and find the closest location for public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) and public electric vehicle battery exchange stations (SPBKLU) through the PLN Mobile application.

"You are given the convenience of searching for public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) and the nearest public electric vehicle battery exchange station (SPBKLU)," said Anne.

In addition, Anne explained, PLN has also prepared an incentive scheme to attractive cashback for people who want to buy electric vehicles.
