Tomorrow, The Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Operates Without Tariffs

JAKARTA PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or Hutama Karya will operate without tariff for the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Section 5-6 (Blang Bintang Baitussalam) along 12.7 Km on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 08.00 WIB. This toll road is still free of charge, aka free.

Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary Division of Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo said that this operation followed the pocketing of the Operational Eligibility Certificate (SLO) on April 14, 2023 and the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Number 540/KPTS/M/2023 concerning Stipulation of the Operation of the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Section 5-6.

"We are ready to operate this toll road since receiving the SLO and Kepmen, by preparing various facilities and 31 standby personnel consisting of operational service officers, paramedics & patrols," said Tjahjo in an official statement, Wednesday, June 21.

Tjahjo said that the operation of this toll road segment has not been subject to tariffs or has not been paid during the socialization period.

"Although it is not yet effective, toll road users still have to tap electronic money cards when passing," he said.

Before being officially operational, the Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) was carried out on February 6 to 7, 2023, which includes aspects of safety, road traffic management, road facilities, and complementary buildings.

Including operations and administration and having provided training to officers related to diversity, excellent service, emergency handling, and others so that officers are ready for operation.

"This toll road has been tested by operating functionally at the time of Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming which was traversed by more than 10,000 vehicles with zero accidents," he said.

Tjahjo said that later this toll road will be connected to the segments that are already operating.

"Seksi 5 and 6 (Blang Bintang-Baitusalam) will connect to other sections that have been operated first, namely Sections 2 - 4 (Seulimeum - Blang Bintang) along 35.8 km," added Tjahjo.
