JAKARTA - The new train or Gapela travel chart in 2023 will take effect on June 1.

KAI Commuter Indonesia will adjust Commuter Line travel services in the Jabodetabek area.

KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Anne Purba said this adjustment followed the completion of several construction work and improvement of the railway infrastructure by the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA with KAI Commuter and KAI Daop 1 Jakarta.

These adjustments range from changing the name of the travel service to Commuter Line according to cross service, adjusting the travel speed of the Commuter Line, reducing the headway or travel waiting time, and extending the Commuter Line travel relationship from the start of the departure station.

Starting June 1, 2023, continued Anne, KAI Commuter will operate a Commuter Line trip in the Jabodetabek area of 1,133 trips with 98 series.

The trip consisted of 420 Commuter Line Bogor trips, 282 Commuter Line Cikarang trips, 221 Commuter Rangkasbitung trips, 124 Commuter Line Tangerang trips, and 86 Commuter Line Tanjungpriok trips.

"In the implementation of Gapeka 2023, adjustments are also made to the Jabodetabek Commuter Line travel pattern at several service routes," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 30.

Anne said that the Commuter Line Bogor trip, on the Depok-Manggarai or Jakarta route, KAI Commuter City, will increase the frequency of travel during morning rush hours from 04.00 to 08.00 WIB, which is 2 trips to 50 trips with a headway of 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, the trip on the Jakarta-Kota-Nambo or Bogor route during the afternoon peak hours starting at 15.00-20.00 WIB will be increased by 1 trip to 52 trips with an average headway of 5 minutes.

To anticipate users who transit at Manggarai Station towards Sudirman or Tanah Abang or Duri during morning rush hour, KAI Commuter added 13 trips to the Manggarai-Kampung Bandan route to 33 trips.

As for the service of users who transit at Manggarai Station from the direction of Duri or Tanah Abang or Sudirman during peak hours in the afternoon, plus 17 trips to 40 trips across Kampung Bandan-Manggarai.

Anne said that the implementation of Gapeka 2023 will also accommodate the progress of the development of Manggarai Station which will gradually complete the construction of service facilities on lane 3 and 4 stations as services for up and down Commuter Line users.

Meanwhile, the adjustment of the Cikarang Commuter Line trip was carried out with an increase in travel speed from 70 km per hour to 95 km per hour with an average headway to 9 minutes from the previous 12 minutes.

"KAI Commuter will also extend 6 Cikarang-Bekasi PP feeder trips to Cikarang-Manggarai-Kampung Bandan relations as well as connectivity arrangements between the Cikarang Commuter Line travel schedule with Commuter Line Walahar and Jatiluhur," he said.

For the Commuter Line Rangkasbitung service, adjustments were made by reducing the average headway to 15 minutes at the Rangkasbitung-Parungpanjang crossing which was previously 19 minutes long and at the Parungpanjang-Serpong crossing to 12 minutes which previously had a headway of 13 minutes.

As an integration station, Rangkasbitung Station, KAI Commuter adjusts the departure schedule and arrival to integrate departures or arrivals between the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line journey and the Merak Commuter Line.

KAI Commuter has optimized its travel relationship by extending 16 Rangkasbitung-Parungpanjang PP feeder trips to become the Rangkasbitung-Tanah Abang PP relationship. With the extension of the relationship, the departure schedule at other initial stations for the destination of Tanah Abang Station has also been adjusted.

As at Tigaraksa Station, previously at the station there were 3 initial departures in the morning at 04.15 WIB, 05.45 WIB and 08.05 WIB, starting June 1, 2023, it will change to 04.20 WIB, 07.10 WIB and 08.40 WIB. Meanwhile, for the initial departure schedule at other stations such as Parungpanjang Station and Serpong Station for Tanah Abang Station at rush hour, the schedule will be adjusted from 5-20 minutes from the previous departure time.

In addition, KAI Commuter also made adjustments to the Tanjung Priok Commuter Line journey by increasing travel and reducing the average headway to 18 minutes before for 20 minutes.

The adjustment of the departure schedule at the Kampung Bandan Transit Station is also adjusted to the Cikarang Commuter Line travel schedule.

Especially for the Tangerang Region

Especially in the Tangerang area, said Anne, there are Commuter Line Tangerang and Commuter Line travel services at Soetta Airport. The adjustment of the Tangerang Commuter Line trip is carried out by increasing the travel speed from 70 km per hour to 75 km per hour, and reducing the headway to 18 minutes. previously for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Airport Commuter Line travel service, starting June 1, 2023, KAI Commuter will operate 56 trips per day, previously as many as 40 trips. Commuter Line Basoetta users can also continue their journey using the Jabodetabek Commuter Line at Batu Ceper Station, Duri Station or BNI City Station.

"With the addition of the Commuter Line Basoetta travel schedule, it is hoped that it can be an alternative choice for people around the Tangerang area to mobilize to office center areas around Sudirman and Manggarai or vice versa," he said.
