Supporting Hajj Flights From Surabaya To Saudi Arabia, Pertamina Provides 8,500 Avtur KL

SURABAYA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus provides 8,500 kiloliters (KL) of avtur to support flights departing from Hajj from Surabaya to Saudi Arabia.

"Today we are proud to take the pilgrims who will go to Baitullah with support in the form of avtur sent from our aircraft charging depot in Juanda," said Section Head Communication & Relations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Taufiq Kurniawan as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 25.

Taufiq said, a total of 85 flying groups (clusters) will depart for the holy land in the first phase of Hajj departure which will take place from May 24 to June.

"Our first phase supports 85 groups with an average filling of 100 kiloliters per airline, bringing the total to 8,500 KL that we support for flights to accompany pilgrims to Baitullah," he said.

The number of avturs, said Taufik, increased when compared to the avtur provided in last year's Hajj implementation.

"Alhamdulillah, the number has increased compared to last year's 38 groups, which we support with an avtur of 3,800 KL. Because this year we will support 8,500 KL for the first phase only," he said.

Meanwhile, to support the second phase of flights from Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus provides the same amount of avtur.

"For the second phase, we support the same number," he said.
