JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is making improvements to several supporting facility infrastructures in the Labuan Bajo area and Tana Mori area, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in order to support the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit, on 9-11 May 2023.
The increase in facilities through infrastructure development and reforestation at the location of the 42nd ASEAN Summit shows Indonesia's commitment to bringing ASEAN into an area that has an important role for the people, region and the world.

The increase in supporting facilities at the Tana Mori SEZ was carried out by the Ministry of PUPR through the NTT Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements and the NTT National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) of the Directorate General of Highways.
Currently, the progress of increasing supporting facilities in the Labuan Bajo area is 72.26 percent. Meanwhile, the progress of the implementation of the improvement of supporting facilities for the Tana Mori area itself has reached 93.88 percent.
"During the Eid Al-Fitr 2023 holiday, people use the Labuan Bajo watersfront area to travel and also use it for Eid prayers on holidays," said Diana.
Meanwhile, the next scope of work being carried out in the Labuan Bajo area includes the construction of the West Manggarai Police Headquarters, the arrangement of the Marina Labuan Bajo Zone 4 Promenade, improving the quality of the Labuan Bajo road corridor landscape, structuring the VVIP parking lot of the West Manggarai Regent's office, structuring the streets and sidewalks of Sp. Binongko-Sp.Sylvia (Jl. Waecicu), as well as structuring the median of Jalan Yohanes Sehadun (in front of Komodo Airport).
Meanwhile, the work carried out in the Tana Mori area includes the construction of the Roundabout Beach Club, Shelter Pier, the installation of geomats on the Tana Mori Area road corridor, the arrangement of the entrance sheaf of the ITDC area, and the strengthening of slopes and stabilization of plants on the Labuan Bajo-Tana Mori road section which was inaugurated by President Jokowi on March 14, 2023.
