JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah emphasized that religious holiday allowances (THR) are an obligation that must be carried out by entrepreneurs.

This is based on Circular M / 2 / HK,0400 / III / 2023 concerning the Implementation of Religious THR 2023 for Workers / Laborers in Companies.

Then who is entitled to THR?

According to Ida, this THR is paid to workers or laborers who have a continuous work period of one month or more.

Ida said that THR can also be paid to workers who have a working relationship based on an indefinite time work agreement or PKWTT, a certain time work agreement or PKWT.

"Including workers or casual daily laborers, I want to underline, including casual workers or laborers who meet the requirements in accordance with statutory regulations," he said in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, March 28.

Ida asked entrepreneurs to pay the obligation to give THR Lebaran 2023 no later than D-7 Eid al-Fitr or April 15 (Idul Fitri assumption falls on April 22).

"When should the THR be given? Religious THR must be paid no later than seven days before Religious Holidays," he said.

Ida emphasized that the 2023 THR payment must be paid in full. This means that entrepreneurs cannot pay in installments.

"This Religious THR must be paid in full, not in installments. I ask the company to obey this regulation," he said.

Furthermore, Ida said the amount of THR is depending on a person's working period. For example, workers or laborers who have a continuous work period of 12 months or more, then the THR given is one month of wages.

Meanwhile, continued Ida, for workers or laborers with a working period of less than 12 months, they will get THR proportionally.

"The calculation of the working period is divided into 12 months, then multiplied by the amount of wages for one month," explained Ida.
