JAKARTA - President Director of Telkom Indonesia, Ririek Adriansyah said that so far, Telkomsat's cooperation with the Starlink satellite service has been going well.

"It's going well. Handled by Tekomsat, our child," Ririek told the media, after the TelkomGroup Preparedness Conference for Christmas 2024 & New Year 2025, on Monday, December 16 in Jakarta.

Ririek also emphasized that he would immediately convey the development of cooperation between the two companies, at the right time. However, he hopes that the Starlink and Telkomsat networks can complement each other.

"We will develop some developments later, in time we will convey cooperation. So the point is our Starlink network and network, we believe we can complement each other, complement each other," he said.

Previously, on May 15, 2024, Telkomsat and Starlink had signed a Cooperation (PKS) for the entertainment segment service in various regions in Indonesia.

Telkomsat has been collaborating with Starlink since 2021 and has been holding Starlink backhaul services since 2022 by taking advantage of the anchorage rights that have been granted by the government.
