New Generation IPad Air: What Can Be Expected In 2025?

JAKARTA - Apple will reportedly release its newest iPad Air in the spring of 2025, according to a report from Bloomberg. With the promised internal upgrade, this launch will take place just 12 months after the last iPad Air refresh with the M2 chip, which was released earlier this year.

With a shorter-than-usual update cycle, speculation emerged about what Apple will bring to this new generation of iPad Air.

One of the main changes is a new design for iPad Air's special Magic Keyboard. The magic Keyboard currently used is the first model introduced for the iPad Pro in 2020. However, Apple is reportedly developing a Magic Keyboard with a new line of functions, similar to the one on the Magic Keyboard Folio for the standard iPad and Magic Keyboard made from aluminum for the iPad Pro.

Unfortunately, this new Magic Keyboard won't have aluminum casings like the iPad Pro version, which can lower its price. Currently, the old Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air and Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro are sold at prices starting from $299 for the 11-inch model.

Rumors suggest that the new generation of iPad Air may be using 90Hz LCD screen technology with a "liquid motion." However, this information has not been confirmed by other trusted sources, such as screen analyst Ross Young, who said he had not heard any news about Apple's screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

While there has been no official confirmation of a new chip for the iPad Air, it is likely that this device will be equipped with an M3 chip, following the annual chipset update pattern. However, there is also speculation that Apple can introduce an M4 chip version with a lower configuration to distinguish it from the iPad Pro.

According to Bloomberg, the new generation iPad Air may be Apple's first device to use self-made 5G modems, particularly for models with cellular connectivity.

There is speculation that the new iPad Air can get Face ID, but Apple will most likely avoid this feature so that the iPad Air doesn't look much like the iPad Pro.

With all these potential upgrades, the new generation of iPad Air seems to be an attractive option for users looking for high-performance tablets and advanced features by 2025.
