JAKARTA - Recently, the director of the game Tekken, Katsuhiro Harada confirmed via his Twitter account, and said that Sign 8 would support the game of crossplay or cross-platform mode.

"Crossplay? Of course, I will," said Harada when replying to a tweet from a fan on Twitter asking if the game would have crossplay between platforms.

Harada, who has been working on the franchise for nearly 30 years, also claims that he is trying to make the crossplay work on old-generation consoles like Xbox One and PS4.

"When the previous generation of consoles were released, I had proposed a crossplay between the two platformers. However, at that time, they were at odds with each other because of common interests (and P2P security issues) and repeatedly refused," he explained further.

In the same tweet, Harada later added that although there are still some remaining problems, the application of crossplay will still be applied to the game.

The 8th token was officially announced in September 2022 during the PlayStation State of Play live streaming. Although the release date has not been confirmed, the game is planned to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.

Bandai Namco recently revealed the gameplay Tekken 8 with a duration of 36 minutes. Studios also plan to hold closed alpha tests for Signed 8 in several locations globally to collect feedback on the new system.
