Losing To Lebanon, The Indonesian Women's Football National Team Keeps Playing Mentally

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's soccer national team (Timnas) did not want to lament the defeat of Lebanon too long. In addition, they want to achieve positive results against Taiwan in the next match. Garuda Pertiwi opens the way in Group F of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers with a 0-5 defeat to the host Lebanon, Saturday, April 8. These negative results make Indonesia slumped at the bottom of the group standings with zero points, below Lebanon and Taiwan. "The results in today's match certainly make us disappointed, especially we have several opportunities in the first round, but do not execute well. "Moreover, our position is at the bottom of the group standings. Hopefully our mentality is maintained and can provide a different game after evaluating today's match," he added. A similar date was also conveyed by women's national team player Claudia Scheuneemann. The girl who just made her debut for the national team believes she and her teammates will perform better in the second match.

"Today we have given our best, but have not been able to score a single goal. Must be disappointed, but I'm sure we will perform well in the next match," Claudia said.Indonesia will face Taiwan on Tuesday (11/4). The match must be won by Garuda Pertiwi if they want to keep their hopes of qualifying for the second round, because only group winners are entitled to qualify for the round. The second round of Asian zone qualification will be followed by 12 teams which will later be divided into three groups. One of the top teams from each group plus the second best ranking will later take part in the third round qualifiers, to compete for two Olympic tickets.
