The Bekasi Metropolitan Police managed to arrest two perpetrators of the robbery of a motorcycle in Cibitung Underpass which resulted in a woman being dragged up to 150 meters for trying to defend the seized vehicle.
"Alhamdulillah, on March 2 at 02.30 WIB, the main perpetrator named Sandra alias Andra was arrested in the districts of Indramayu and Agus in Jatiasih, Bekasi City, West Java," said Bekasi Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Saufi Salamun at the West Cikarang Police Headquarters, Antara, Monday, March 4.
He said the motorcycle theft occurred in front of the Persimija car course, Jalan Raya Bosih, Wanasari Village, Cibitung District or Cibitung Underpass last Tuesday.
After learning about the incident, the police immediately conducted an investigation and chased the perpetrators by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Cikarang Police together with the Bekasi Metro Police, and Polda Metro Jaya.
The case began when the two perpetrators riding a motorcycle together saw a motorcycle key hanging in front of a car course or crime scene.
"The perpetrator Andra acts as a picker or takes a motorbike. Meanwhile, his colleague Agus oversees the situation," he said.
The police also managed to secure the motorbike used by the perpetrators in action. The two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 KHU Pidana concerning theft with a weighted penalty of a maximum of seven years in prison.

West Cikarang Police Chief Kompol Gurnald Patiran said a woman was also a victim of the theft of the motor vehicle. The victim is a car driving course employee named Indah Agustiyani (26). He tried to defend his customer's motorbike which was stolen by the perpetrator.

The incident began when a customer named Murniasih, the owner of a Honda Beat motorcycle with the red number B 4254 FPL, wanted to learn to drive a car.
Murniasih forgot to pull out the motorcycle key parked in the car course yard and left his motorbike to the victim.

The victim finally let go of his hand after not being able to hold back, especially since the perpetrator was driving a motorcycle at high speed. The victim's condition suffered severe injuries to the hands and body.
"We received the report and immediately checked the crime scene until finally we were able to arrest the two perpetrators in two different areas," he said.
