TNI POM Investigators Visited The KPK Today To Examine The National Kabasarnas Bribery

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that TNI POM investigators visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today.

POM investigators are examining the suspect who bribed the head of the National SAR Agency (Basarnas), Vice Marshal Henri Alfiandi.

"Investigators from POM TNI to the KPK coordinated with the KPK investigating team and then continued with conducting a joint examination of the suspected givers at the KPK," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, August 2.

As for the construction of the case, there were three money givers to Henri through his subordinates, Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto. They are the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati, Mulsunadi Gunawan (MG), President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya and President Director of PT Kunjung Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.

"(The three of them, red) are being examined, of course, as witnesses in the case of the alleged recipient who has now been detained at the TNI Puspom," said Ali.

Ali said that the joint investigation process had indeed been agreed upon. The agreement came after KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri met with TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono.

"In principle, of course, the KPK will also continue to increase cooperation, synergy with the TNI," he said.

"In the future, if there are TNI personnel, for example, who commit criminal acts of corruption, the TNI Commander is also committed to not protecting and instead, later there will be cooperation between the TNI Puspom and the KPK to resolve the allegations in question," Ali continued.

As previously reported, the KPK only uncovered the alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services at Basarnas through a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Tuesday, July 25. From this active action, the KPK announced five people as suspects.

The five suspects are Kabasarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto as suspects for receiving bribes. Meanwhile, as the giver is the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati, Mulsunadi Gunawan (MG), President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya and President Director of PT Kindah Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.

However, the investigation of this case had a polemic because the KPK was considered to have exceeded the authority of the TNI. Because Henri and Afri are still active members.

The KPK also apologized and confirmed that it would only investigate three suspects from the private sector. Meanwhile, Henri and Afri were worked on by POM TNI and have now been thrown into custody.

In this case, Henri is said to have received a fee referred to as a command fund of Rp. 88.3 billion from the private sector from 2021-2023. This acceptance was made through Afri as his subordinate.
