JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Dody Wijaya, said that until now his party had not received a letter of application for interim replacement (PAW) which dismissed Cinta Mega from the position of a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
Previously, the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the DKI Jakarta PDIP on July 25, decided to remove Cinta Mega from a member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD due to the case of playing slot games during a plenary meeting.
"There has been no PAW application letter on behalf of the person concerned (Cinta Mega) to the KPUD," said Dody when contacted, Thursday, July 27.
In KPU Regulation Number 6 of 2017, it is stated that the PAW process was submitted by the chairman of the council, in this case the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD when he received a PAW proposal letter from the party to the DKI Jakarta KPU.
Then, the KPU can only hold a follow-up meeting to process PAW if it has received a letter of application for PAW Cinta Mega from the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"We can have the next plenary PAW vote meeting after receiving the letter from the DPRD leadership. According to the provisions, we will process it for five working days," said Dody.
Thus, Dody emphasized that until now Cinta Mega is still a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD until the PAW process is complete.
