Judge: The Condition Of Lukas Enembe Is Critical Based On Doctor's Notes

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Panel of Judges at the Corruption Court Rianto Adam Ponto stated that the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe was in critical condition based on the doctor's records. "We read the results of the doctor's examination, the request from the public prosecutor team, here is called two-star kretin, while the other is one-star. From my understanding, from the doctor's records it is considered critical," said Rianto at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Antara, Monday, June 19. This was conveyed by the panel of judges after the KPK public prosecutor (JPU) read out the indictment of Lukas Enembe which was attended directly by the inactive Papua Governor. Despite attending the trial in person, Lukas had to be accompanied by one of his legal advisers Petrus Bala Pattyona in the defendant's seat because Lukas could not speak smoothly due to his stroke. "God willing, this trial will continue. If the defendant's brother complains of illness that hinders the defendant's activities, relatives as soon as possible request or submit a letter of application to the panel of judges. Even outside the trial schedule, we will take a stand because above the law it is humanity and we will pay attention to that," added the judge. "His condition is very critically noble," said Lukas Enembe's legal adviser, Petrus Bala Pattyona. "Later, don't conclude first, the important thing is that the request is accommodated and considered because of the detention in the panel of judges, the public prosecutor must notify him as soon as possible if there is something from him. We do not discriminate," added judge Rianto. Previously, in the memorandum of objection (exception), the legal advisory team also requested that the panel of judges submit the transfer of detention to city detention. "We legal advisers request that the detention of Lukas Enembe because he is sick be transferred to city detention so that it is easy to carry out treatment as we submitted the application letter on June 9, 2023 through the Kepantera of the Corruption Court. Furthermore, we also ask that the examination of the defendant be carried out offline and the examination of the defendant is accompanied by a doctor," said OC legal advisor team Kaligis. "The memorandum of objection has been submitted and it is in our hands, it is there and we will consider it, you please be calm," said judge Rianto. "It's not true what was said, it's not all true," said Lukas again. In this case, Lukas Enembe was charged with two charges. First, Lukas was charged with accepting bribes amounting to Rp45,843,485,350, with details of Rp10,413,929,500 from businessman Piton Enumbi as Director and owner of PT Meonesia Mulia, PT Lingge-Lingge, PT Astrad Jaya and PT Melonesia Cahaya Timur and as much as Rp35,429,555,850 from Rijatono Lakka as Director of PT Tabi Anugerah Pharmindo, PT Tabi Bangun Papua as well as CV Walibhu. Second, Lukas Enembe was also charged with receiving gratuities in the form of Rp1 billion from Budy Sultan as Director of PT Indo Papua on April 12, 2013. Rijatono Lakka has also been sentenced to five years in prison by the Jakarta Corruption Court. Recently, the KPK has again named Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU). The KPK has confiscated a number of assets related to the Lukas Enembe case in various forms with a total value of more than Rp200 billion.
