JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto will stay in touch with the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) this weekend in Pacitan, East Java.
"Just being able to meet, when it's time, Mr. SBY can accept it this Sunday, and coincidentally Mr. Prabowo, the time is right. If I'm not mistaken, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow in Pacitan," Dasco said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.
Dasco said that Prabowo's plan to meet SBY was intended in the context of the 2023 Eid gathering which had not been realized.
"I think that for the meeting, Pak Prabowo and SBY, what I know is that the Eid al-Fitr gathering has been planned," he said.
Not only will he stay in touch with SBY, Dasco said the Minister of Defense plans to visit other senior figures.
Dasco did not deny when confirmed whether one of the figures Prabowo planned to meet was PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
"Oh, sure. Just waiting for the schedule when the mother (Megawati) can do it, or when it will match Pak Prabowo's time," he said.
Separately, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani also agreed that Prabowo's plan to stay in touch with SBY this week.
