The National Police Chief's Instructions On Security Of The ASEAN Summit In Labuan Bajo

JAKARTA - The 42nd ASEAN/ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. Not only security, the comfort of the surrounding community is also the focus of National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The National Police Chief ordered the personnel to pay attention to the comfort of the community during the security of the ASEAN Summit.

"I need to emphasize in ensuring the security of the ASEAN 2023 Summit, we must also pay attention to the comfort of the surrounding community," Listyo said, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 6.

This was conveyed by the National Police Chief Sigit regarding the diversion of lanes, traffic engineering, and houses of residents who were used as a place to stay for the personnel.

Sigit emphasized that the personnel should mingle and strengthen public communication.

Through this good communication, the public can fully support the security process for the 42nd ASEAN Summit run by the TNI and Polri.

"Because the ASEAN 2023 Summit is very important in making strategic decisions and economic growth in the ASEAN region and of course providing multiplayer effects in Labuan Bajo, NTT, and in general Indonesia," he said optimisticly.

Furthermore, Sigit ordered personnel to stay away from all forms of irregularities and avoid things that could damage the good name of the institution.

"Always show someone who is close and loved by the community," he asserted.

The TNI and Polri have held an appointment to hold the security forces for the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT).

Security will be carried out from May 7 to May 13, 2023.

In this security, the National Police will carry out traffic engineering in the form of counter-current at several points to facilitate transportation access for ASEAN heads of state and delegation guests during these international activities.

The National Police also deployed 2,627 personnel to provide security during the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
