JAKARTA - The Aceh Provincial Government through the Social Service facilitated the repatriation of 26 Acehnese who were evacuated from Sudan who were already in Jakarta to their hometown in Tanah Rencong.

Yusrizal explained that the repatriation of Acehnese who were evacuated from Sudan was borne by the Aceh Government through the Social Service from Jakarta to Aceh.
Previously, the Acehnese who dominated the students were evacuated from Sudan by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu).
"Previously they (26 Acehnese) were repatriated by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Jeddah to Jakarta," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Previously, the Aceh Government Liaison Agency (BPPA) stated that as many as 26 Acehnese who were evacuated from Sudan arrived in Jakarta and were then kept in the nation's capital before being returned to Tanah Rencong.

"We received direct orders from the Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki to continue to monitor the repatriation process for Acehnese from Sudan," said Akkar.
