JAKARTA - Director General of Resilience, Regional Affairs and International Industrial Access of the Ministry of Industry Eko SA Cahyanto said there were 19 new cooperation agreements signed at the Hannover Messe 2023 event.
"One of the targets of Indonesia's participation as partner country Hannover Messe 2023, namely the realization of industrial cooperation and foreign investment. There are several cooperation agreements that will be signed, namely the G to B agreement (Government to Business) and the B to B agreement (Business to Business)," said Eko in Hannover, Germany, Sunday, quoting Antara.
Eko conveyed that the 19 cooperation agreements consisted of three G to B agreements and 13 B to B agreements.
The agreement signed on Sunday (16/4) includes cooperation in the semiconductor industry, solar power, medical equipment, waste management, chemical industry, the development of CNC milling, Internet of Things, digital industry, electric vehicle charging and battery systems, investment and industrial estates, sustainability and energy transition, human resources, as well as start-ups and innovations.
The signing of the industrial cooperation is expected to bring many changes in industrial improvements in various fields and also open wider industrial market access.
It is known, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto explained that Hannover Messe 2023 will bring in a very large investment value.
"Through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which has been officially agreed upon, there will be IDR 30 trillion investments entering Indonesia. Of course, we hope that through Hannover Messe there will be more investments coming in," explained Airlangga.
Deputy for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Edi Prio Pambudi hopes that the signing of cooperation will lead to more cooperation agreements in the future.
"Today's signing is the first step of a trip. After this, it is hoped that more cooperation will be formed, considering that Indonesia and Germany are close cooperation partners," said Edi.
Hannover Messe 2023 will be opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz on Sunday (16/4) evening German time and will continue with the inauguration of the Indonesian Pavilion on Monday (17/4) morning German time.
