The East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Conducts Mediation Between PLN And Land Owners At IKN

SAMARINDA - The High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) of East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) conducted mediation between PT PLN (Persero) the East Kalimantan Main Development Unit (UIP) and land owners in the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) area. "Regarding the land acquisition in the construction of the PLN project in the form of a 150 kilovolt Kariangau-GIS 4 IKN High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) hybridly, we mediate between PLN and land owners in the area, so that the construction process runs safely and smoothly," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Toni Yuswanto in Samarinda, Antara, Tuesday, April 4. This mediation activity is a follow-up to the assistance of the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office through the Civil and State Administration fields for land/land acquisition that has not been acquired by PT PLN (Persero) the East Kalimantan Development Main Unit in the context of the construction of the SUTT. According to him, this is a form of the Prosecutor's commitment, especially the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office, to continue to actively participate in accordance with the main tasks and functions (tupoksi) that exist in the success of the IKN Nusantara development. "Indeed, there are several things that are demanded by land owners regarding land prices that they think are still not appropriate, so based on the main duties and functions, the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office has also mediated this matter to secure the SUTT development process," said Toni. According to him, from this mediation, it is certainly a step by the Attorney General's Office to avoid future conflicts, therefore it must be consolidated first between PLN and the land owner in the SUTT development project area. "Essentially, the Attorney General's Office will continue to provide assistance to all activities involving IKN, including security guard, and also legal assistance," said Toni. He conveyed that the activity was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the Acceleration of National Strategic Projects, with the process being carried out, including accelerating the stages of land acquisition for development for the public interest. This also refers to Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Prophet of the State City and letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs Number 135.1/2520/SJ dated May 12, 2022 regarding the Implementation of Regional Government Authority within the State City Mother Region. From the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs, in the implementation of land acquisition above 5 hectares in the IKN area, it was requested by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government to carry out land acquisition for development for the public interest and follow up with a meeting on March 16, 2023 at the East Kalimantan Governor's Office. Present at the event were the Coordinator in the DATUN of the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office, Kasi Datun Kejari Balikpapan Arif Subekti, representatives from PT PLN (Persero) UIP KLT Wilson Marbun, Wida Arief and Triastuti, representatives of Binda Kaltim Umar, Fauzy, Ridho, and Ragil Arya, as well as representatives of PT Distraco and land owners.
