JAKARTA - Foo Fighters announced Josh Freese as their new tour drummer.

The news was confirmed during a live broadcast of Foo Fighters: Preparing Music For Concert on May 21 where the band prepared their comeback tour and brought "some surprises".

Since Foos confirmed that they will continue to make music after the sudden death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022, many famous drummers have been linked to the show.

Both Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and forced Taylor (the Queen's son Roger Taylor) denied speculation that they were involved in the new Foot project, and Freese is now confirmed as the new drummer for the band led by Dave Grohl.

Freese previously played drums for Guns N Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Devo and more, and fans have been looking forward to the announcement as the new Foos drummer recently canceled a planned show with The Offspring and Danny Elfman.

The Foo Fighters tour itself began May 24 in New Hampshire.

Foo Fighters will hold a series of major US concerts between August and October, with festival performances at Boston Calling, Bonnaroo, Riot Fest and others also confirmed.

They also announced live performances in Brazil with the support of Wet Leg and Garbage.

Last week, May 12, Foos also leaked to fans in the UK about a series of new shows to come and be announced soon.

Grohl et al recently launched the latest Under You single which will be released from their upcoming album But Here We Are.

Determined to be released on June 2 through Roswell Records/Columbia Records, this LP will mark their first new material since Hawkins' death. Under You followed Rescued's first single.
