JAKARTA - Greta Van Fleet remembers the valuable advice they received from Elton John at the singer's Oscar party in 2017.

Speaking with Kevin Vargas for Loudwire Nights, bassist Greta Van Fleet, Sam Kiszka and drummer Danny Wagner recalled their meeting with John and the advice he gave them, which was inherent.

'He's like, 'Turn on. Do it. Have it. Don't be ashamed. Just do it.' So after that we were like, 'OK, we're going to do it,' Kiszka said.

"So it's something you have to remember is giving everything and creating that person out there," Kiszka continued.

I think everyone is a little bit more creating people who are almost different on stage. Daniel and Josh really liked imitation diamonds and glares and created completely different things for yourself on stage and that took us there.

"Maybe the best of our years in our career that we can meet someone like that," Wagner added.

"That was at the start. And he did give us that advice. He told us to show off what you had when you got it, basically. This guy is a hero to us.

"He is someone who among all the artists we listen to grows up, he is one of the things we uphold. So to hear something like that from someone like that, don't take it lightly."

Meanwhile, the third studio album of the Grammy-winning rock band, entitled Starcaucher, will be released on July 21 through Lava/Republic/EMI Records.

The album's first single, The Master's Meeting can be heard in the digital service lot.
