JAKARTA - Kimberley Walsh confirmed Girls Aloud will release something to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Sound of the Underground.

This was revealed by Kimberley after Girls Aloud released a special disc edition of their 2002 debut single with the same name.

All advantages of printing the single will be handed over to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal. It is known, Sarah died of breast cancer in September 2021, after revealing her diagnosis to the public in August 2020.

Girls Aloud recently revealed that over the past year, they raised more than 1 million pounds in funds for breast cancer charity.

Now, according to Kimberley, the remaining members will release several alternatives to the footage, which first came out in May 2003.

"Twenty years is a long time and the love we still feel for Sound of the Underground and some of the songs from the first album are still very big. So it still feels like something to celebrate, but in a rather secret way, I think," Kimberley told MailOnline.

However, the singer said Girls Aloud would not reunite to record new music or appear live.

"We didn't really do anything together as a group for clear reasons. I think there has been a re-release of Sound of the Underground with a different girl singing different lyrics, which is quite fun," he added.

Previously, Girls Aloud confirmed that they were planning a reunion show once, which doubles as a charity concert, in memory of Sarah, which never materialized. And now, it seems absolutely impossible.
