JAKARTA - Ahead of his public debut, Hyundai conducted a test of the ability to return to its high-performance electric SUV, Ioniq 5 N, which took place at the racing circuit, Nurburgring, Germany. This is the final stage of testing before his debut in July.
This model is a performance improvement version of the Ioniq 5 model by being developed by Hyundai's top performance division, N. In the trial, the manufacturer ensured that the Ioniq 5 N could meet the three pillars of the N division, namely Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar.
Hyundai's Vice President and Head of N Brand, Till Wartenberg, said the choice of Nurburgring as the final testing ground was because this track could remove all capabilities from the car. So, he believes that the Ioniq 5 N can bring out all of its capabilities on the Grand Prix track.
"The Ioniq 5 N has just completed a 10,000 km resistance test at Nordschleife, which is an important milestone that proves the high resilience and capability of this vehicle race track. However, we have just started testing the second 10,000 km to push the Ioniq 5 N limit," Wartenberg said on the Hyundai website, Friday, June 23.
To achieve the expected results, Hyundai is also collaborating with the Hyundai research and development division center in Namyang, South Korea and the European Hyundai development center in Russelsheim, Germany.

Ioniq 5 N will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed which will take place on July 13. Hyundai will also include a model developed by division N, one of which is the hydrogen-powered concept car, N Vision 74.
