JAKARTA - The distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Indonesia, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), officially launched an SUV with a hybrid system, namely XL7 Hybrid on Thursday, June 15. This is the third model in the Suzuki lineup to use a hybrid system in Indonesia after Suzuki Ertiga and also Grand Vitara.

Matsushita Ryohei, as 4W Sales & Marketing Director of Suzuki Indonesia, said that the XL7 Hybrid is a current commitment from Suzuki that seeks to meet the needs of environmentally friendly SUVs to meet the mobility needs of the community.

The SHVS technology includes two components, namely the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and lithium-ion batteries which will help the performance of the 1,500 cc engine with the K15B code.

To save on fuel use, XL7 Hybrid is equipped with an auto start-stop engine feature. This is useful so that car users do not waste emissions in vain during the trip.

For driving convenience, Suzuki provides a new autolight with guide feature for me light and a new auto retractable mirror. Suzuki also presents new e-mirror touchscreen, new cruise control, new interior color, new black wood pattern instrument ornaments, and new gear shift indicators.

The XL7 Hybrid comes with three variants, namely Alpha, Beta, and Zeta. In the Alpha variant, this SUV is equipped with New Savanna Ivory, Black, and Snow White Pearl colors. Meanwhile, for the Beta and Zeta variants, it is available in Metallic Magma Gray, Pearl Brave Khaki, Snow White Pearl, and Cool Black colors.

Suzuki provides two transmission options, namely automatic (AT) and manual (MT). The car, which is expected to compete with Honda BR-V, starts at IDR 283 million.
