JAKARTA - The Covid-19 pandemic has left a deep track around the world, from health impacts to major changes in everyday life. However, who would have thought this pandemic would also inspire a unique theme park in Vietnam?

Recently, a British social media user, Ella Ribak shared a video about the Covid-19 park via her personal Instagram upload.

"Does anyone know if this park still exists? I love Vietnam so much. Let me know, who made a special theme park about Covid-19?", Ella wrote in the caption of her upload.

To The Metro, Ella shared her experience while visiting the Covid-19 park. "It was a very strange experience. Me and other tourists couldn't stop laughing. We kept looking around to see if Vietnamese people also thought it was funny," said Ella.

"But they all look quite serious. The clock at the entrance makes everything feel like the world of dystopia, plus the statues hidden between the trees," he continued.

However, the most striking thing is the statue of a human-sized pathogen with google eyes placed in prison. "When you turn and look at it, it feels funny," said Ella.

Ella also expressed her confusion about the purpose of the park. "It's really weird trying to understand how serious this park was made. Obviously, it touched sensitive topics for some people, but the clay statues looked so ridiculous that it was so hard to judge. Finally, we had fun, even though maybe we didn't catch the real message," he explained.

One of the elements that attracted the most attention was a large viral statue that was 'locked up' in prison, as if symbolizing the human struggle against the pandemic. Even though it looks humorous, this concept still triggers various reactions from visitors. Ella expressed her admiration for the existence of this Covid-19-themed park.

"It was a very strange experience, but it was also funny. My friends and I couldn't stop laughing, even though local people looked serious when they visited this park."

Ella also added that it was difficult to understand whether this park was meant to convey serious messages or just entertainment. "The statues look like jokes, but the theme clearly touches sensitive topics." he said.

Not everyone sees this park as entertainment alone. Some netizens feel the Covid-19 theme is too sensitive to be used as the concept of a theme park, given the huge impact of the pandemic on the lives of many people.

However, there are also those who praise the creativity of this park as a way to perpetuate the history of the pandemic with a different approach. Despite the controversy, the Covid-19 park has become a unique tourist attraction in Vietnam.
