Shani JKT48 Announces Graduation: Thank You And Sorry!

JAKARTA - Shani Indira Natio or Shani JKT48 announced the graduation of the group that made his name. He shared this news at the JKT48 Summer Festival concert which took place on Sunday, July 2 yesterday.

This concert is a form of JKT48 celebration during its career in the music industry. Shani made the announcement before the last song was sung.

"I am Shani Indira Natio, a member of the third generation, JKT48, who decided to graduate from JKT48," said Shani.

In his short speech, he wished JKT48 the best which continued to grow. As captain, he also expressed his joy to be a member for nine years and one of the longest members in the group.

Moments after the announcement, Shani wrote a message to his fans apologizing and thanking him.

"Lega can finally talk to you about this. The decision I have thought about many times for a long time," Shani wrote to fans on the same day.

"9.5 years is very impressive. It's not an easy thing but whatever happens behind it is an extraordinary journey," he said again.

Shani Indira Natio is one of the third generation JKT48 members. He joined in 2014 as a trainee before being promoted to the T team in 2015. Then in 2021 he was named captain of the JKT48 New Era team.

Together with JKT48, Shani released various hits and albums. In 2020, he had the opportunity to sing a solo song titled Menanti which was included in the EP Rapsodi.

Meanwhile, Shani's graduation made the third generation of JKT48 only two people left, namely Gracia and Feni.
