The total investment value reached IDR 18.7 trillion.

"Currently, there are 6 companies that are already operating and have produced 5,500 workers. In 2029, it is likely that 39,000 employees are projected," Ngurah told reporters at Grand City Batang, Sunday, December 15.

He added that tenants at KITB came from China, South Korea, Chile, Thailand, United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Singapore, and of course Indonesia.

"Looking for investors for giant projects takes a long time. To keep it growing, we need to develop other aspects," said Ngurah.

Not only factories, he said, KITB has launched commercial and residential zones to open new opportunities for investors.

"We orientate to build flats intended for factory workers in KITB," he said.

"People who work at KITB will be more people outside the Batang area," he concluded.
