Presidential Palace And Ceremony Field At IKN Targeted Functional June 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) targets the Presidential Palace area to be completed and will be functional in June 2024.

The work was accelerated to support the implementation of the Independence Day Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN.

"So, the Presidential Palace and the ceremonial field with construction progress are currently almost 60 percent and the target is that by June 2024 the palace buildings, ceremonial fields and podiums will function 100 percent," said Head of the IKN Development Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of PUPR Danis H Sumadilaga at the National Capital Coordination Meeting of the Archipelago at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.

Danis said the area was targeted to accommodate around 8,700 people.

He added, for the Presidential Office itself, the progress has now reached 78.68 percent. It is targeted that by next June, the Presidential Office building and the structure of the garuda bird can also be used at the Indonesian Independence Ceremony on August 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, the construction progress for the State Secretariat Building and its supporters is almost 70 percent. The building consists of a post-presidential mess, generators, fire buildings, parking buildings and supporting buildings that can be used.

For the Ministry of State Secretariat building itself, its progress has now reached 50 percent, which is targeted to be functional in June with a capacity of around 750 ASN.

Next, there is the construction progress of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) 1 building which has reached 52.90 percent which is also targeted to be functional in June. The progress for Coordinating Ministry 2 has reached 23.64 percent.

"Indeed (the construction) of the Coordinating Ministry for 2 is a bit late, but later a number of towers can accommodate approximately 250 people," said Danis.

Furthermore, Danis said that the progress of the Kemenko 3 building had also reached 55 percent. Later, in June 2024, towers 1 and 4 will function to accommodate 396 ASN out of a total capacity of 990 ASN.

Then, in towers 2 and 3 which are targeted to accommodate 86 ASN from the total capacity of 516 ASN.

Finally, the progress of the Coordinating Ministry for 4 itself has reached around 57.81 percent, which has the same capacity as the Coordinating Ministry building 3.

"The Coordinating Ministry will later become a sharing office of each ministry in the ministry's coordination," he concluded.
