Acting Mayor of Jayapura, Frans Pekey in a broadcast in Jayapura, Sunday, said that the Port Numbay Explore Skouw festival will also attract visitors who will come to the area.

"Because the festival raises the natural and cultural potential of the people of Skouw," he said when closing the Port Numbay Explore Skouw festival in Skouw Mabo Village as quoted by Antara, Saturday (24/6).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Jayapura City Tourism Office, Matias Mano, said that the Port Numbay Explore Skouw festival involved business groups from the three villages.

"During the festival, we displayed the potential in three villages that were packaged in traditional dance competitions, bazaar exhibitions and also surfing sports," he said.

He added that the potential that exists in Skouw Village really needs to be developed continuously so that it is hoped that the Port Numbay festival which will be held every year can have an impact on business actors in the three villages.
