Regarding Hybrid Car Incentives, This Is What Suzuki Said
JAKARTA - The government has officially determined that there are incentive packages for several sectors, including automotive ones carried out to maintain purchasing power after the Value Added Tax (VAT) is implemented at 12 percent.
This was revealed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, who said that one of the incentives for the package was targeting hybrid-tech environmentally friendly vehicles or hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
"Regarding the latest one, PPnBM DPT for hybrid motorized vehicles, VAT for hybrid is the government provides a discount of 3 percent," he said as previously reported by VOI.
Not a few brands have also played in the segment, including Suzuki. Responding to the above, through Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) Harold Donnel, spoke up.
"We are also observing the information that is being discussed," he said, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 17.

But he said, before commenting further, Suzuki was still waiting for the details of the regulations and the mechanisms to be issued by the government.
