2024 Olympic Athletes Receive IDR 40 Million Fund From IOC

JAKARTA All Indonesian athletes who get tickets to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics each receive 2,500 US dollars Olympic Solidarity funds (Rp40 million) from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

This fund is a compensation to every athlete from all the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for its contribution to the success of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) will continue this fund.

Chairman of NOC Indonesia, Raja Sapta Oktohari, explained that this fund is a form of appreciation from the IOC to athletes around the world, including in Indonesia who have fought their best to reach the highest stage in sports, namely appearing in the Olympics.

"We hope that this fund can provide benefits and motivate athletes to continue to provide the best achievements for Indonesia in the future," Okto said in a statement.

Olympic Solidarity is a global development program initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) aimed at supporting the National Olympic Committee (NOC) in all member countries around the world.

The purpose of the Olympic Solidarity or Olympic Solidarity is to provide assistance for the NOC for athletes' development programs, especially for those who are in dire need.

This assistance is in the form of a cooperation program between the IOC and NOC, with technical assistance from international federations, if needed.

In addition to distributing Olympic Solidarity funds, NOC Indonesia also provided Insigne de Participante (Participant Pin) and Certificate de Particication (Certification of Participation) from the IOC to 29 athletes from 12 sports competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Especially for certificates, not only to athletes, but also to coaches, officials, and all supporters for their hard work and committee to make Paris 2024 a success and spread the values of Olympism.

"This success is the result of a solid team collaboration, from athletes to behind-the-scenes supporters, such as coaches, a team of doctors, including Chef de Mission (CdM)," said Okto.

The Indonesian Olympic Committee is committed to continuing to support the development of athletes and strengthen the national sports ecosystem.

With the help of the Olympic Solidarity and appreciation to all teams, NOC Indonesia hopes to create positive momentum to face challenges in the upcoming sports competition.
