Double Up, ORI023 Sales At BRI Reaches IDR 2.07 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) or Bank BRI noted that the sale of state debt securities or Retail State Bonds (ORI) series ORI023 through BRI reached IDR 2.07 trillion, an increase of 2 times from the previous ORI, ORI022 worth IDR 1.01 trillion).
BRI's Director of Consumer Business Handayani detailed that the most attractive sales were the 3-year tenor (ORI023 T3), which was IDR 1.51 trillion, more than the sales of the 6-year tenor (ORI023 T6) at IDR 556 billion.
"The reason is because the timeframe is still not too long, with coupons that are still quite attractive above the average bank deposit interest rate," Handayani told the media quoted on Thursday, July 27.
He continued, the high interest of investors in buying ORI023 was due to safety factors and an attractive coupon rate of 5.90 percent for a 3-year tenor and 6.10 percent for a 6-year tenor.
"In addition, the final PH rate of ORI023 is relatively low, which is 10 percent" added Handayani.
He further explained that ORI023 is also tradable or can be traded so that later investors can sell ORI023 before it matures in the secondary market.
"Another advantage is that ORI023 can be used as credit collateral," he continued.
