Secretary General Of Democrats And Gerindra Discuss National Issues To The Presidential Election
JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Democratic Party, Teuku Riefky Harsya, said that the friendship carried out by the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, to the DPP of the Democratic Party, discussed a number of issues regarding nationality to elections and presidential elections.

Regarding the 2024 presidential election, said Riefky, the Democratic Party and the Gerindra Party maintain political ethics. He said the Democratic Party understood that the Gerindra Party was in a different coalition, namely the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition with the National Awakening Party (PKB).
"And also the Democrat Party is currently in a coalition of changes with the NasDem Party and PKS. Of course, we are talking about a lot of things related to this presidential election, including our desire for the election as well as the presidential election to run well, peacefully, democratically," said Riefky.
He also explained that the national gathering continued the meetings that had previously been held by the Democratic Party elite and the Gerindra Party.
Chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto previously met with the Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in Pacitan, East Java, in May 2023.
Then, Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) visited Prabowo Subianto at the Kertanegara House, Jakarta, in June 2023.
"Today, the national friendship that we are doing actually continues the meetings that have been held, both by the General Chairperson AHY and Pak SBY," he continued.

Riefky said communication between the two parties needed to be maintained because many political parties (political parties) in Indonesia needed to take care of the nation and maintain the democratic process.
"We want national political stability to be pursued to be conducive. National political stability is certainly our shared responsibility to protect it, not only in the future, but also post-election," he explained.
Meanwhile, Muzani said that his arrival to the DPP of the Democratic Party was part of the political friendship and continued brotherhood between the two.
"This is our effort to sustain the brotherhood that has been built," said Muzani.
