Riau Prosecutor's Office Explores Allegations Of Electrik Umbrella Corruption In Annur Mosque
PekanBARU - Riau High Prosecutor's Office studied the results of an investigation into data collection (puldata) and the pile-up of information material (pulbaket) related to the alleged corruption case of an electric umbrella development project at the An-Nur Grand Mosque, Pekanbaru City.
"Pulbaket and puldata handled by intelligence from the Riau Prosecutor's Office have been completed and have been handed over to special criminal fields," said Head of the Information and Law Section of the Riau Prosecutor's Office, Bambang Heripurwanto, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 17.
In completing this pulbaket and puldata, the Riau Prosecutor's Office has examined all parties related to the project. Furthermore, the Special Investigation Division will study these results and coordinate with law enforcers who are also investigating the case.
"Various parties related to these activities have been questioned," he said.
The work on the electric umbrella project worth Rp42 billion has attracted attention because the umbrella was damaged before it was completed.
PT Bersinar Jestive Mandiri, who worked on the project, was finally terminated by his contract because he was unable to complete up to two extensions.
This project has actually passed its construction period since the initial contract was supposed to be completed at the end of December 2022. Because it was incomplete, the contractor was given 50 days to complete until February 16, 2023.
However, until the time determined the contractor has not finished his work. The Riau Provincial Public Works and Public Housing Office again gave the contractor the opportunity until the end of March 2023.
However, until then the electric umbrella project that imitated the Prophet's Mosque Madinah has not been completed. Finally, until now, it has been decided that contractors will continue to work, but they will not be paid.
