641 Enforcement In The Last 6 Months, West Kalimantan Customs Claims To Save Potential State Loss Of IDR 13 Billion

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of West Kalimantan (Kalbar) carried out 641 prosecutions from January to June 2023.

Head of DJBC West Kalimantan, Imik Eko Putro, said that from the action, which was marked by the Evidence of Enforcement (SBP), Rp. 13.082 billion, the potential for state losses was saved.

"Last year the potential loss value reached Rp. 15 billion," he said in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Tuesday, July 11, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained, of the total prosecution, there were 19 SBPs against Narcotics, Psychotropics, and Precusor (NPP). The NPP forms that were successfully prosecuted were 63.9 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 6,239 boutiques of ecstasy and 9.19 kilograms of marijuana.

"The value of the NPP that has been successfully prosecuted is estimated at around Rp. 163.104 billion. The actions in the field cannot be separated from the cooperation with the TNI and Polri as well as other parties.

Furthermore, his party also took action against illegal Tobacco Products (BKC) as much as 1.85 million sticks with an estimated value of IDR 1.78 billion.

"Apart from the BKC HT, action has also been taken against BKC Drinks Containing Ethyl Alcohol (MMEA) or alcoholic beverages as much as 20,299.12 liters with an estimated value of goods of Rp15.57 billion," he said.

He explained related to the working area and the focus of his attention, namely on supervision because he has three official land border doors, namely PLBN Aruk in Sambas Regency, Entikong PLBN in Sanggau Regency and Badau PLBN in Kapuas Hulu Regency. Of course, in taking action, his party collaborates with parties such as the TNI and Polri as well as other agencies. This cooperation will continue to be improved.

"The existing action is part of our surveillance mission. West Kalimantan Customs and Excise is dominated by surveillance activities because it has a border area with neighboring countries. Meanwhile, revenue missions are also maximized," he said.
