President Jokowi Tests Fast Calculation Of Elementary School Students In Papua

JAYAPURA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a meeting that was interspersed with a quick count test for 100 elementary school representative students in Tanah Papua.

During the meeting and rapid counting tests in Jayapura, President Jokowi was accompanied by Prof. Yohanes Surya and witnessed by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of State Secretary Praktikno, TNI Commander Yudo Margono, and National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as well as Investment Minister/BPKM Bahlil Lahadalia.

The Papuan children were enthusiastic about answering President Jokowi's question in a quick count, because those who answered were right to be given a bicycle.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 7, President Jokowi took the time to ask questions and answer questions with three students, one of whom asked about the President's ideals as a child.

Receiving this question, President Jokowi admitted that from a young age he had aspired to become an entrepreneur, who was later elected as Mayor of Solo, Governor of DKI Jakarta, and later became president.

Prof. Yohanes Surya explained that currently his party is introducing the Gasing Method to students to prefer mathematics, namely through an easy, fun and fun method.

The 100 children who attended were previously trained for two weeks with the Gasing Method.

According to Prof. YohanesSurya, currently 3,000 elementary school children are trained using the Gasing Method and it is hoped that this number will continue to grow considering that the method will be easy for children to count quickly.

Jose Auguto Neurotau, a grade V student at SD Kalam Kudus Jayapura, admitted that he was happy and proud to be participating in the quick count program until he finally met President Jokowi.

"I am proud to be able to meet the President's Napak," said Jose, who also received a bicycle prize for successfully answering President Jokowi's question in quick calculations.
