After Being Affected By A Landslide, The Pangrango Train Has Returned To Operation
JAKARTA - The Pangrango train has been operating again to serve passengers after the railway line was affected by landslides between Cicurug-Maseng, West Java. Jalung has also been declared safe for trains to pass.
Previously, KAI had also canceled all trips to the Pangrango train since Friday, June 30, because the route was affected by landslides.
"KA Pangrango is back in operation serving passengers on Sunday, July 2, 2023," said the Daily Executive of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Feni Novida Saragih in a statement quoted Monday, July 3.
Feni said the re-operation of the Pangrango train could not be separated from a number of efforts to accelerate the repair of the railway line by the KAI Daop 1 infrastructure team together with the DJKA Ministry of Transportation,
"One of the efforts focused on getting the Pangrango train service back to normal is to carry out a number of strengthening rail construction," he said.
After this effort, said Feni, since Saturday at 22.10 WIB the line has been declared safe for train operations.
"It was marked by the passing of the first train trip, namely the Pangrango train from Bogor-Sukabumi which was also prepared as a series that will serve the Pangrango train trip from Sukabumi on Sunday 2 July 2023 at 05.30 WIB with a speed limit of 5 Km per hour when crossing the point," he said.

Feni said that prospective passengers on the Pangrango train who were affected by the cancellation, namely on Thursday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1, 2023, could still report it.
"Until D+7 from the date of departure. Ticket duties will be returned 100 percent," he said.
