Summoned By The Attorney General's Office, Menpora Dito Claims To Be Ready To Give Detailed Testimony Regarding Kominfo Corruption
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo admitted that he was ready to testify when questioned by the Attorney General's Office regarding the alleged corruption case of the 4G base transceiver station (BTS) of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) for the period 2020-2022.
The Attorney General's Office has scheduled to summon Menpora Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo or who is familiar with the name Dito Ariotedjo on Monday, July 3.
"This is a valuable lesson and experience as a young politician. In particular, this is what we face as politicians, so we must be ready to face all challenges," said Dito Ariotedjo, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 2.
Dito said he would open a special session to invite the media regarding his testimony regarding the BTS Kominfo corruption case for the 2020-2022 period.
"So we face it and we are sure, for more details, we can buy the magazine and the newspaper (related to the summons of the AGO) or wait for an invitation from me," said Dito Ariotedjo.
Previously, the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah, said that Dito Ariotedjo was examined as a witness in the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the provision of base-tranceiver station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for Kominfo.
The Attorney General's Office has named eight suspects in a case that cost the state finances Rp8.32 trillion. Six of the eight suspects have the status of defendants who are currently in the process of proving at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court trial.
The five defendants, namely Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as President Director of BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gahole Menak (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as an expert on Human Development (HUDEV) at the University of Indonesia in 2020, Mukti Ali (MA) a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy on 22 May 2023 and Johnny G Plate, former Minister of Communication and Information.
Two other suspects who are still in the process of completing the case files, namely Windi Purnama, as confidants of the suspects Irwan Hermawan (IH) and Muhammad Yusrizki, Director of PT Basar Utama Prima (BUP) who also serves as Chairman of the Renewable Energy Standing Committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
