Police Commissioner Chuck Putranto Reportedly Freed From Sentenced To Murder Of Brigadier J
JAKARTA - Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan said Commissioner Chuck Putranto was still a member of the National Police based on the decision of the appeal-level Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).
"Yes, with the appeal decision, the person concerned is still a member of the National Police," said Ramadhan, confirmed by Antara in Jakarta, Thursday.
Former Head of Subdivision of Audit Baggak Ethics, Rowabprof of the National Police Propam Division, Kompol Chuck Putranto, is known to appeal the decision of the KKEP trial on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
The KKEP Commission at that time imposed administrative sanctions for dishonorable dismissal (PTDH). However, the decision did not yet apply because Kompol Chuck filed an appeal as regulated in Article 69 in Perpol Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).
"The decision on the appeal in question was not made by PTDH," said Ramadhan.
The KKEP appeal hearing, Kompol Chuck, after the KKEP Appeal Secretariat received an appeal memorandum at the end of September last year.
Kompol Chuck Putranto's appeal was received by the KKEP Appeal Commission and imposed a sanction in the form of a 1 year demonstration.
"Demotion for 1 year," said Ramadhan.

Chuck Putranto is one of seven defendants to challenge the investigation into the premeditated murder case against Brigadi Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. Six other defendants, namely Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Kompol Baiquni Wibowo, Kombes Pol. Agus Nur Patria, AKP Irfan Widyanto, Kombes Pol. Arif Rahman, and Brigadier General Pol. Hendra Kurniawan.
Dalam sidang pidana perintangan penyidikan kasua Brigadir J, Kompol Chuck Putranto dijatukan hukuman penjara selama 1 tahun oleh majelis hakim Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Jakarta Selatan, Jumat (24/2).
The judge stated that Chuck Putranto was found guilty of carrying out the first primary indictment, namely violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
