Toyota Signs The Presence Of The Latest Model, SUV Version Century?

JAKARTA - Japanese auto giant Toyota is preparing to add models to its SUV lineup. It is reported that this car has a luxurious design with a large dimension.

The SUV with the name Century is rumored to be introduced to the public this year. This is further strengthened by the silhouette performance shown at the recent presentation of all new Alphard and Vellfire, featuring the vehicle similar to Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The presence of the luxury car will come true after Toyota's Chief Branding Officer, Simon Humphries, surprisingly signaled the latest Century that provided the best driving experience with the progress of the times.

"I hope to have the opportunity to share the results of the story with a new addition to the Toyota driver series. This will certainly be an impressive step in our mission to change the future of the car," Simon said.

The Century SUV will be a model that offers various aspects, including comfort, luxury, and technology. It is likely that this car will come with a long hood shape and a back that has characteristics like Rolls-Royce.

The car will later be built on the TNGA-K architecture, a platform devoted to Toyota-owned vehicles such as Toyota Highlander, Lexus TX, Toyota Alphard, and Toyota Vellfire.

It is hoped that this SUV can come with a hybrid powertrain. Although the specifications are not yet known, it is estimated that the Century version of the crossover will use a V8 4,968 cc engine from the third generation of the model with a combination of electric motors that can produce 375 dk.

If the manufacturer wants to present a more efficient version, then Toyota will equip Century SUV with a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine and a double electric motor.

It is estimated that Century SUV will be positioned on top of another luxury crossover, namely the Land Cruiser. Because the car comes with luxury, the reasonable price for this SUV is around 15 million yen or IDR 1.57 billion.

Toyota confirmed that Century SUV will be present in 2023. Although it did not provide details on the date, local media reported that the car would debut in August.

Toyota Century is a luxury sedan that debuted in 1967. This model has been presented with three generations. The latest generation, namely the G60, is priced at 20 million yen or around Rp. 2 billion.
