Saat Puncak Acara Bulan Bung Karno, 300 Pemulung Ini Ketibaran Rezeki Participating Mengurus Sampah Di GBK

PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) invites hundreds of scavengers to take care of waste at the peak of the Bung Karno Month event with the theme 'Paving Hands United for Indonesia Raya' today, Saturday, June 24 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. They will be assigned to sort the garbage.

"We also involve 300 scavengers. And the garbage, apart from being recycled, will be chosen as additional income for them (refuges, ed)," PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto told reporters, Saturday, June 24.

"Plastics and residual waste will be separated. Plastic will increase its economic value forming an economic circular. The funds collected will be distributed to scavengers who are referred to as Pro Lestari troops," he continued.

Hasto ensured that the activities attended by thousands of cadres would implement a sustainable waste management (waste management system). Apart from inviting scavengers, there are also 3,000 members of the Juang Community.

The Juang community is a party-based organization in Central Java fostered by the Chairman of Bappilu PDIP Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul. Most of the members are young children under 30 years of age.

The SUGBK cleaning activities are an initiative of the creative organization belonging to PDIP, RedMe. This proposal emerged at the beginning of the preparation meeting and was called Prolestari with the title "GBK Clean Action".

Furthermore, Hasto said this activity was also in accordance with the attitude of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri who often invites to move to protect the environment. At least, there are several programs such as Loving Earth by prohibiting cadres from using plastic at various events such as the 2019 PDIP V Congress in Bali.

Then there is also a movement to plant trees to clean rivers during Megawati and PDIP's birthday. "Over the year, almost 250 thousand trees have been planted. In addition, this has happened and the clean-up action continues in the Citarum river, Ciliwung River and mangrove planting. The PDI-P DPP in 2021 also launched the book 'Caring for the Motherland'," said Hasto.

"The leading party is at the same time a pioneer in environmental conservation and protecting the universe through efforts to encourage everyone to love the earth," concluded Hasto.
