Activision also confirmed that the closure of Warzone Caldera will have no impact at all on the current gameplay, inventory, or development of Warzone players on Al Mazrah or any other available maps, and we look forward to continuing to be with you in the new Warzone experience.

"Regarding the content purchased at Warzone Caldera from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, or Vanguard, it will continue to be accessible in these specific games," the studio added.

Players must prepare even more Warzone content across consoles and PCs, as well as a new era of Battle Royale while traveling with Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, which includes Battle Pass and joint cross-progression.

"The Call of Duty and Studio teams hope to immediately share more details. Thank you to the Call of Duty community and to our developers for making Call of Duty: Warzone an amazing place to play together," the announcement concluded.

Launched in March 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone will surpass six million players in less than a day and surpass 100 million players in April 2021.

With the release of Warzone 2.0, its name was changed to Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera, with the target map being the only one currently available to support 150 players.
